I have dedicated myself to ending the global water crisis.
During a trip to Eswatini in ninth grade, I learned about the impact that clean water can have on a community that initially lacked it. Immediately after the trip, I fundraised towards building wells in areas that lacked a clean water source.
However, aware that hundreds of millions of more people still lack access to clean water, I authored In Bad Water in order to foster awareness about the global water crisis and see more action to terminate this crisis. My book is targeted towards preteens, who, I believe, are the most powerful agents for societal change.
Since publishing my book, I have been featured by the Los Angeles Times, Orange County Department of Education, Newport-Mesa Unified School District, So Booking Cool, and more. In addition, I have traveled around Southern California, speaking about the global water crisis and my book to kids at places like Fairmont Anaheim Hills and Pretend City Children's Museum, both of which have shelved my book. One of my appearances, hosted by the Rowland Water District as part of the Mini Science Challenge, comprised 530 K-6th graders in Los Angeles County.
